Hanging out in the Graveyard

January 6, 2012
Silver City, New Mexico

The last couple of days were spent in Silver City, New Mexico.  It was on a whim that we drove up here.  About 40 miles off the main highway 10 on our way to Tucson.  The billboards looked inviting so here we are.  It is a cool town, very historical.

We are camped at the Rose Valley Ranch RV Park

The sites are really nice.  No stickers or cockleburrs like in Texas.....and no goatheads like we had in Marfa.

If you look in the upper left hand corner you will see the graveyard!  Yes, we have a very quiet camping spot here.  Our neighbors don't let out a peep.  We have some very interesting neighbors, too.  Who, you ask?

Yes, that's right.  Mother of Billy the Kid.  Isn't that something?

We also found a real Indian/Outlaw fighter.

And a few that were just interesting.

So much for our tour of the local graveyard! On to Tucson.
