Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jog, Open the Door and Let Out the Dog!

March 29, 2012

Last entry for our first Snowbird trip.  A little over five months on the road.  It was a huge success!  Mark and I agree that we love it on the road.  We are compatible and have gotten to know what works and what does not work when it comes to living together in a 36 foot motorhome.

What we have learned:

We generally refer to ourselves as "Operations" and "Maintenance".  You figure it out.....
Angie loves to drive.  It is her happy place.
Mark loves to navigate and can be seen using two navigation systems at the same time.
Mark is happiest when there are things to fix (minor things) on the motorhome.
It is not nearly as warm "down south" as we thought.  It is not tropical.  Nights are cold.
We are usually the last to leave an RV park in the morning.  Coffee, computer and strudels really slow us down.
When entering a large city always have a destination in mind.  Do not drive around looking for someplace to park.
When entering any parking lot or small area, have an exit visualized "before" entering.
Watch and avoid anyplace that has a "dip" because you will drag and damage tow bar.
We do not use the barbeque as much as we thought we would.
We do not use the outside furniture. (chair and table)  We generally sit in the motorhome.
We love watching people in the RV parks.  Especially the ones carrying poop bags with their dogs.
We always look for Walmarts and casinos if we are traveling and are only staying one night.  "Free-99"!
We can live on our monthly income without going into savings while traveling.
We can't wait to get back on the road.

HAPPINESS IS A JOURNEY!
