Bill Goat's Gruff

October 29, 2011

We spent the day in Zion National Park.  The mountain goats were nice enough to come right up to the road so we could snap a picture of them.  The park is amazing and we needed all the hiking to offset the last three days which were mostly spent sitting down and driving south.  I can't believe we have only been gone four days  We have done so much and seen so much.

The human mountain goats are on the leading edge of that cliff.  Look very closely and you will see a couple of them climbing that edge.  There were a total of about 8 climbers.  Luckily we had binoculars to watch them for a while.

Grandma's Cole Slaw

October 27, 2011

Hello Utah!  We are headed to Bountiful today.  Will be staying with Colleen and Lance.  Having a little technical difficulty with Tom-Tom so had a 40 minute unplanned side trip but luckily still arrived in time for dinner.  Colleen made a great meal of pulled pork and cole slaw.  She used Great Grandma Feuerborn's recipe for the cole slaw dressing and it was great.  Then we were off to watch Carly's Junior Jazz basketball game.  Great day in Utah!

Where's Waldo?

Our first night on the road finds us hiding amongst the truckers at Walmart in Jerome, ID.  Lindsey came down from Sun Valley to dine with us.  Fajitas, cheap wine and the purr of truckers engines....oh what a life!  An eight hour day of driving gets us about 400 miles down the road which is just about right.
